Let me start off by saying that I am no expert by any means. I have tried a few products and these are what work best for us, just my opinion.
I have only tried 2 brands of cloth diapers. Bum Genius and Fuzzi Bunz. I LOVE Fuzzi Bunz diapers. They stay soft and wash easy. I have had the same ones for 6 months, and have been washed a LOT. I love the all in one pocket diaper.
I also found another great company. If you go to http://www.naty.com/ they have great products. I bought their biodegradable diapers and wipes and they work wonderfully! The diapers rarely leak and the wipes work just as good as any other. The company is called Nature Babycare and you can read all about their products on that website. You can also order their products from a website called diapers.com
I hope that I can help someone who is thinking about switching to cloth diapers. It can be so intimidating on what brand to try. I started by just buying one or two diapers that were made by a few different companies. The Fuzzi Bunz were the third diaper that I tried.
Plus I think about all of the money we could have saved. Cloth diapers will cost you 200 to 300 dollars to get started (depending on the type and brand). Laundry costs will be another 100 to 200 hudred dollars a year. But the average cost of buying disposables can cost 2000 to 2500 dollars a year!
And I honestly can say that it really isn't that much more work because having 2 small children all I do is laundry anyways! And it has helped my 2 yr old to potty train. If she is wearing a cloth diaper and she starts to pee, she notices she is wet and then asks to use the "potty".
Please let me know what you all think and let me know of other products out there so that we can spread the word!!
Thanks everyone!
Peace and love...
